Local Historian, Mary Vieira Rose, welcomes you to attend an informative talk about the Cape Verde Islands on Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Mary/ Margaret Women's Guild Meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 5 Armory Road in Buzzards Bay.

Ninety-six-year-old Mary got the surprise of a lifetime when her daughter, Marion, took her to her homeland during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Both will share their experiences on the island and give you pointers on how to make your trip worthwhile.

The event also promises gorgeous vacation photos and free refreshments.
