MSPCA Cape Cod is offering Wareham residents low-cost spay-neuter surgeries for qualifying dogs and cats by appointment.

A $75 spay-neuter package for dogs and a $50 spay-neuter package for cats include spay-neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, distemper vaccination, nail trim, and microchip.

Walk-in microchips will be available for $15 from 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

To qualify for the spay-neuter package for both dogs and cats, owners must be on public assistance. Proof of assistance, such as medicaid, food stamps, SSI, rental and housing assistance, fuel assistance, WIC, or unemployment will be required at the time of the appointment. Those who aren’t receiving public assistance but need the low-cost services are asked to describe their current situation on their application.
