Man arrested again for selling heroin after Wareham arrest
A man arrested in August for selling heroin in Wareham was arrested again in Mattapoisett, following a narcotics investigation by the Mattapoisett Police Department which resulted in the arrest of him and two other people, including a Wareham man.
The police had been investigating Nicholas Nasveschuk, of Plymouth, who was staying at the Hillside Motel and was suspected of dealing drugs. As a result, they had already obtained search warrants for Nasveschuk and room #103 at Hillside Motel.
On Friday evening, Mattapoisett officers, assisted by detectives from the Dartmouth Police department, observed Nicholas Nasveschuk leave the motel where he was staying. They believed him to be en route to conduct a drug transaction, according to police.
Nasveschuk met with a male party on Chapel Road, allegedly to sell him one gram of heroin. Police stopped and approached Nasveschuk. He allegedly ingested the heroin.
Police arrested Nasveschuk and transported him to Saint Luke’s Hospital due to the amount of heroin ingested.
Following the arrest of Nasveschuk, police officers searched his room at the Hillside Motel, located at 92 Marion Road where they found heroin packaged for resale, drug paraphernalia, a scale, drug ledgers, packaging material, and cutting agents used to increase the amount of narcotics for resale.
Narcotics officers also seized money allegedly from the proceeds of drug sales and computers that were used in drug transactions, according to police reports.
Joseph Lemay, of Wareham, was also staying with Nasveschuk in the motel room and was charged with being present where heroin is kept, according to police.
While police were present at the motel, several of Nasveschuk’s customers arrived at the hotel to purchase heroin, according to police.
As result, Candice Detalia, of Buzzards Bay, was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
Nasveschuk is charged with possession of a Class A controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Mattapoisett Police worked with the detectives of Fairhaven and Dartmouth Police Departments and the Dartmouth Police K-9 unit during this investigation.
