Wareham first responders extricated a man trapped in a car following a crash on I-495’s southbound lane Wednesday night.

The crash was reported at 9:04 p.m. near the I-195 interchange.

Emergency broadcasts reported the man was “conscious and alert” when first responders arrived and that he was removed from the car without incident. The victim’s status is unknown at this time.

Wareham EMS cleared the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m.
