Man who entered Dick's Pond found alive

A man who walked into Dick's Pond and was thought to have drowned last Wednesday, prompting a search and rescue from local and state emergency officials, was found alive nearby, according to the Onset Fire Department and broadcast reports.
According to the department, witnesses saw a man in his late 40s enter the pond in Onset late last Wednesday afternoon, but lost sight of him. Medical teams responded to a call at 4:45 p.m.
Dive and rescue teams from Onset, Wareham, and Plymouth County, as well as State Police, searched for the man. According to State Police, he was found walking around the pond around 6:30 p.m.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Tobey Hospital by Wareham EMS. His condition as of Monday is still unknown.
