Marie A. Rago, 75, of West Wareham passed away Sunday, May 8 at Tobey Hospital. Miss Rago was born in Boston on Oct. 16, 1940 the daughter of the late Nichola B. and Teresa (Palmisano) Rago.

She graduated from Julie Billiart High School. She was self-employed for many years as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

Marie is survived by her sister Patricia and her husband John Mullen of Wareham, her nieces Robin Stafford and Nichola Mullen of Wareham and her great niece Alexandria Stafford of Mansfield. She was the aunt of the late Jonathan Stafford. She was the sister of John Rago and his wife Patricia of Revere, Joseph Rago and his wife Sandra of Malden and Palmy Fiumara of Revere. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Richard and James Rago.

Her funeral will be from the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham on Thursday, May 12, at 9:30 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Church 82 High St., Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, on Tihonet Road in Wareham.
