Mark E. Sherman, 64, of Whitman and later of Wareham, Massachusetts, died on March 29 at home after a long illness. 

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, in 1957, he was the only son of Harry Sherman and Mary (Cercillo) Sherman.

He is survived by his mother Mary (Cercillo) Sherman, his sister Diana (Sherman) Sullivan, his sons Jeff Sherman and Jared Sherman, and his grandson, Harry R. Sherman.

He graduated from Whitman/Hanson High School, and went on to work in the family business of custom cabinetry. He was also a top salesman for Hartz Mountain Pet Supply and serviced most of Cape Cod and the Islands.

He was a loving father to his two boys and helped to take care of his aging parents in their later years.

Always one with a story or joke to tell, he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

A Private Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel on Plymouth Street, Route 58 at the Rotary in Whitman, Massachusetts.
