The marvels of marine life
Event Date
Fishy things are coming to the library.
Guests are invited to a free talk Wednesday, April 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road on spring coastal wildlife featuring Krill Carson, founder and president of the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance.
The alliance is a volunteer driven non-profit dedicated to protecting local marine wildlife through research, education and rescue. Carson will discuss river herring, horseshoe crabs and turtles, focusing on seasonal migrations, spawning and nesting behaviors, and their role in coastal ecosystems.
The program will explore how these species return to local waters each spring and why they are important to the health of the region’s environment.
The event is free and open to anyone interested. No registration is required.
