Mary Eileen (Harrington) Scarsciotti, 65, of Wareham, died April 16, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford of cancer of the small intestine. She was the wife of Anthony R. Scarsciotti and the daughter of Frederick J. Harrington and the late Mary Eileen (Cronin).

She was born in Norwood and lived in Dedham from birth until she moved to Wareham in 2002. Mrs. Scarsciotti graduated with an Associate’s degree in Business from Chamberlayne College. Mrs. Scarsciotti worked as a Real Estate Appraiser for many years and held a real estate broker’s license for more than thirty years.

She was a member of and the clerk of the Wareham Zoning Board of Appeals for more than a decade and a member of the Wareham Housing Trust. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and knitting. She loved flowers and could identify any flower by name.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony R. Scarsciotti; her father, Frederick J. Harrington of Buzzards Bay; 4 daughters, Julie E. Ojeda of Irvine, CA, Amy J. Kamps of Haverhill, Molly C. Kamps of Plymouth, and Michelle T. Kamps of Dedham; a son, Jeffrey E. Kamps of Norwood; her daughter-in-law, Michelle L. Ojeda of Irvine, CA; 2 stepsons, Matthew Scarsciotti of Wrentham and Stephen Scarsciotti and his wife Heather of Foxboro; her brothers and sisters, Jeanne Archambault and her husband Mark of Hull, Timothy Harrington and his wife, Cathy of Plymouth, Kathleen MacCord and her husband Jim of Suffolk, VA, Theresa Placentino and her husband Stephen of Dedham, Christine Harrington of Uxbridge and William Harrington and his wife Angela of Wrentham; 6 grandchildren, Emily Kamps, Gillian Brady, Libby Kamps, Ethan Scarsciotti, Colby Scarsciotti and Zealand Scarsciotti; many nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late F. Jay Harrington and grandmother of the late Copeland Scarsciotti.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Onset. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. A reception will follow the burial at the American Legion Hall, 155 Eastern Ave., Dedham beginning at approximately 1 p.m. Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
