Mary H. Mauldin, 95
Mary H. (Hodge) Mauldin, 95, of West Wareham, formerly of Siasconset, Nantucket, died Monday, Dec. 17, at her daughter's home. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Mauldin.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Juliette (York) Hodge. She was a Nantucket resident for 65 years. During the 1980s, Mrs. Mauldin was employed at Nantucket Looms, where she fully enjoyed her work and a special relationship with her coworkers. She reminisced of those times often.
Mrs. Mauldin is survived by two daughters: Julia E. Jackson of W. Wareham and Mildred V. Mauldin of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Janine Mauldin (police officer) of Nantucket, Gregory Mauldin of Switzerland, and Edgar K. Gufwoli (1st Lieutenant, U.S. Army) and his wife Lorna Gufwoli of Killeen, TX; and her daughter-in-law, Joanne Mauldin of Holliston. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Mauldin, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Isle Church, 3 Federal St., Nantucket at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nantucket.
