MaryAnn McKee, 80, of East Wareham, passed away on June 22, peacefully in her sleep at home.

MaryAnn was most proud of being a loving wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as caring for and spending quality time with a large circle of family and friends. She was known for her amazing cooking skills, her witty sense of humor, and her ability to turn strangers into friends.

During her lifetime, MaryAnn was very active in the community and enjoyed many different occupations, hobbies, and pastimes. Occupations included telephone operator, retail sales, cranberry and blueberry picking, food and jewelry demos, restaurant work, home refurbishment, as well as service in a local nursing home. She loved singing and playing piano for numerous local churches and was also active in the Monday Club, Garden Club, and the Wareham Historical Society. She enjoyed reading, cooking, painting, gardening and playing cards.

MaryAnn is survived by two children, Scott McKee and wife Judy of Greensboro, NC, and Ross McKee of East Wareham; four grandchildren, Josh McKee, Kyle McKee, David McKee, and Heather McKee; four great-grandchildren, Alex McKee, Savannah McKee, Gage McKee, and Walker Cook; and one sibling, Kay Rounsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart McKee; her son, Patrick McKee; and her brothers, Donald Churbuck, James (Butch) Churbuck, and Earl Churbuck.

MaryAnn will be laid to rest at a graveside service at Agawam Cemetery, Stillman Drive, Wareham, on Friday, June 28, at 1 p.m.
