Mike worked as a District Manager for VSM Abrasives for 25 years before retiring.

He enjoyed boating and rollerblading on the Cape Cod Canal. He also enjoyed exercising, yoga and aerobics.

Survivors include his wife, Patti M. (Skerry) Kelley of Plymouth; his mother, Barbara (Carley) Kelley of Woburn; his children, Michael Kelley of Bridgewater, Samantha Kelley Dennen of Gloucester, Christopher Kelley of Easton; his stepchildren, Kenneth Lannon of AZ, , Michael Lannon, Jessica Aldrete and Julia Lannon all of LA; his brothers and sisters, Sheila Sarno of Westfield, Barbie Sickles of AZ, Mary Darraugh of NH, Danny Kelley of AZ and John Kelley of Medford; 4 grandchildren, Kaelan, Kason, Isla and Killian; 2 step grandchildren, Landon and Emma Rose. Mike was so very loved and respected by his family and friends. He maintained relationships with his longtime high school friends. They were as important as family to him. He was a model Dad, provider and hands on supporter to his children. He was proud to be “Grampie” to his grandchildren. \

Mike’s career was as a District Sales Manager for VSM, where he exemplified his tenacity to achieve great success. He continued that path of being a warrior as he battled cancer as well as other health care obstacles. His fight to survive all his maladies was stronger than anyone could imagine. The pain he endured was no match for the Michael Kelley we all knew. He wore a happy face over his angst and fear, a smile and encouragement for others. When asked how are you? He would reply, “I am okay Kiddo.”

Mike met his wife, Patti, after a high school reunion, 45 years had passed and then a spark. They were married for a short 2 years but together for 6 years and never left each other’s side. The tremendous love they had for each other will forever be remembered. Michael did this his way. “Atta Boy Mike, Atta Boy.”

A celebration of his life is being held privately.
