Michael A. Just, 54, passed away Saturday, October 12, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Richard A Just Sr. and Lola Churbuck. Michael graduated from Wareham High School in 1984. Michael served in the United States Army from July 1984 to July 1992. 

Michael was a tow truck operator for over 30 years in the town of Bourne before obtaining his CDL and driving big rigs throughout the states. Michael enjoyed spending his free time joking with his family and friends. He was known for his generosity, loving heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife Allison E. Just with whom he had two children: Sarah E. Bridges and her husband Matthew, and Cody J. Just. Michael has ten siblings: Anthony Cherrix and his wife Susie, David Cherrix and his wife Kimberly, Nancy Vaunhefflyunn and her husband Eric, Mary Ann Deluca and her husband Thomas, Betty Ann Surovitz, Richard Just and his wife Angela, Caroline Landers and her husband Brian, Thelma Fairley and her husband Greg, Cynthia Shaw and her husband David, and Irene Morgan and her husband Priest. Michael has many nieces and nephews, friends and people he considered family.

Michael’s family would like to thank Beacon Hospice; Hyannis Veteran services; Cape Cod Veterans Inc.; VFW of Bourne and all the loved ones that stood by his side during his last moments. 

A private family service will be held at The National Cemetery; however, all are invited to celebrate Michael’s life at the V.F.W Post 5988, located at 180 Shore Road in Bourne on Monday, October 21, at 11:30 a.m. This will be a potluck event.
