Michael P. Bello, 78, of Wareham, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Fournier) Bello.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Gilda P. (Santos) Bello. He graduated from Lexington High School and was employed by the Town of Lexington. He retired from the maintenance department for the Lexington Housing Authority and moved to Wareham in 2005.

He enjoyed the beach, gardening and the Boston Red Sox. He was an amazing father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Bello, Jr. and his wife Terrijoan of Tewksbury, Scott Bello of Sherman Oaks, CA; his daughter, Elizabeth Madigan and her husband Michael of Buzzards Bay; his grandchildren, Theresa Bello of Tewksbury and Molly and Matthew Madigan of Buzzards Bay.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Sat., Nov. 6, 2021, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.  A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.
