Mildred Solano, 93
Mildred E. (Porter) Solano, 93, of East Wareham passed away Wednesday, June 1 at the Kindred Traditional Care and Rehabilitation Center at Forestview in Wareham, where she received excellent care. Mrs. Solano was the wife of 40 years to the late Amadeo J. Solano.
She was born on Dec. 30, 1922 in Sweetwater, Texas the daughter of the late Marshall and Edna (Johnson) Porter. Mrs. Solano lived in East Wareham, for over 40 years, and formally lived in Mattapan. Mildred spent her life as a loving housewife, mother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading and dining out. She loved all her kitties throughout the years and she had the best smile in the world.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters Constance M. Solano of East Boston and Diane M. Solano of East Wareham and her beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her beloved cat Lily. She will be missed by many. She was the sister of the late Marcelle Dick of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St., Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
