Murder mystery coming to the library

The Wareham Free Library will host "Murder of the Mystery Detective," a mystery involving a colorful cast of characters from the Wareham community on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.

Attendees will watch and follow clues as the cast tries to solve a strange murder in the library.

The cast includes: Library Trustee Jim Mendes as hard-boiled detective Sam Slayed, member of the board of assessors Roxanne Barboza as the famous English detective Agatha Mystery, Selectmen Peter Teitelbaum as the astute Hemlock Bones, active town volunteer Sandy Slavin as Valley girl Nancy Prude, School Committee member Mel Lazarus as the Belgian detective Hercules Perot, Superintendent Kimberly Shaver-Hood as the tough street detective Kutesy Millstone, Boys and Girls Club Director Ken Fontes as the brilliant Inspector Dogleash, Wareham Week reporter Bill Whelan as game show host Sir Arthur Conan Hoyle and Selectman Judith Whiteside as the master of ceremonies, Lotta Books.

Tickets are $25 per person and will be sold at the door. They can also be reserved by calling 295-2134. Seating is limited.

Admission includes appetizers and desserts as well as the three act play. The event will also feature a cash bar and silent auction. Adult audience please. Proceeds will benefit the Wareham Library Foundation Inc.
