Famed dogsledder Hugh Neff of Laughing Eyes Kennel in Tok, Alaska, and two of his sled dogs (Lester and Amigo) will be in Wareham on May 10.

The event will feature a lecture and discussion on Neff's adventures at the Dudley Brown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2846, located at 4 Ball Park Road in Onset.

Proceeds from the talk will benefit the Wareham Veterans Council and The Friends of the Wareham Veterans Inc. in their efforts to bring The Moving Wall, a replica of the Vietnam War Memorial, to town in August.

Tickets cost $25 for the general public and $10 for students. Children 10 and younger may attend for free. The event begins at 7 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Signed copies of Neff ’s book and other merchandise will be on sale.
