Mystery Book Club to feature discussion with the author
The October meeting of the Wareham Free Library’s monthly mystery book club will feature a discussion with Edith Maxwell, the author of “Delivering the Truth.”
Maxwell will attend the meeting, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 10.
A resident of Amesbury, Massachusetts, Maxwell has written 20 mystery books for five different series, along with numerous short stories. This month’s selection is the first in her Quaker Midwife Series.
“Delivering the Truth” was nominated for a 2016 Agatha Award for best Historical Novel and recognized with an Independent Publisher Book Award silver medal in 2017.
Those interested in joining Maxwell and the book club for the October meeting may check out a copy of the book at the circulation desk at the Main Library. There is no cost to join the club.
The fiction book club will meet on Friday, October 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Spinney Branch Library in Onset. The book selection for the month of October is “I was Anastasia” by Ariel Lawhon.
The non-fiction book club will meet on Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m. in the Reading Room at the Main Library. The book selection for the month of October is “Lost City of the Monkey God” by Douglas Preston.
