No injuries reported after boat overturns in Onset

Four adults made it to shore safely on Tuesday night after their boat started taking on water near Onset Island.
According to Wareham Harbormaster Garry Buckminster, everyone on board the 14-foot skiff entered the water and then warmed up inside the home of a nearby resident before first responders arrived.
In addition to Harbormaster Department officials, Onset Fire, Wareham Police and EMS responded to the incident. All four people aboard the boat declined medical treatment at the scene.
Buckminster said the boat was salvaged on Wednesday morning during better weather. He reported that no contaminants were released during the incident.
The matter is currently under investigation.
