Norma E. Easter, 84, nurse

Norma E. (Fickert) Easter, 84, passed away February 28 at the Golden Living Center Oak Hill in Middleborough. She was the wife of the late James Easter, Milton Morse and Roland Ouellette.

Mrs. Easter was born in Middleborough on September 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Alfred and Stella (Nourse) Fickert, and attended Middleborough public schools. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 17 years on the maternity floor at Tobey Hospital and as a nurse's aide at the Advent Christian Village Nursing Facility in Dowling Park, Florida.

She is survived by five daughters, Diane Frye of Alabama, Carol Renwick of Missouri, Sandra Sawyer of New Hampshire, Karlin McConnell of Wareham, and Amy Ouellette of North Dighton; and four sons, Richard Morse of Chestnut Hill, Robert Ouellette of Dartmouth, Roland Ouellette of California, and Paul Ouellette of New Hampshire. She is the sister of Richard Fickert of Lakeville, Jane Bagdon of Taunton, Shirley Farrel of Taunton, Sally Harris of Florida, and the late June Schaloial and Ethel McNichol. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, at  11 a.m. in the Wareham Village Funeral Home, 5 Center St., Wareham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.  Memorial gifts may be made to The Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA  02472. Interment will follow in Centre Cemetery, Tihonet Road, Wareham. For an online guest book, please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com.
