Norris S. Dickens, Sr., 95

Norris S. Dickens, Sr., 95, a long-time Wareham resident and co-owner (with his predeceased wife, Reva T.) of Dickens Press at 400 Main Street, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA, on July 10, 2019, at 9:55pm of Respiratory Failure. He was a World War II U.S. Marine who served in the Pacific Theater. He was a devoted Husband and Father, and he is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter: N. Stanley Dickens, Jr. and his wife Susan L. Dickens, Keith T. Dickens and his wife Nancy Parks Dickens, and Patricia L. Cosgrove (widowed).

He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Erin E. and her husband Tommy Phillips, Joseph I. Dickens and his wife Uma, Troy Dickens and his wife Cindy, Patrick Parks and his wife Stephanie, and Adam, Elizabeth, and Molly Mae Cosgrove. As well as, 6 great-grand children: Dailin, Finley, Peyton, and Serafina Parks, and Carlie Reva Phillips and Lillian Barry Duffy.

He was a former member of the Elks Lodge in Wareham and was also a Friend of Bill W and Dr Bob since Feb of 1963, one day at a time.

The family will hold a Life Celebration on Aug 11, 2019 from 2pm to 6pm, open to friends and associates.
