North Dartmouth Barnes & Noble to hold book fair to benefit Wareham High School Art Department
The Wareham High School Art Department will partner up with Barnes & Noble Bookseller, hosting a book fair and student exhibit Friday, Dec. 2 at the North Dartmouth store.
The fair will raise funds for the student trip to New York City in April 2012. The book fair will continue until Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made by customers with a book voucher or who identify themselves as supporters of the WHS Art Department. Vouchers are available for printing at www.warehamps.org or at the Wareham High School main office.
WHS art students will have artwork on display from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. while other art students assist children in a "make-and-take" craft. The art show and craft events are free and open to the public.
The WHS Art Club also asks supporters to purchase a book for "Gifts to Give," this year's Holiday Drive recipient of the Dartmouth Barnes & Noble. Customers can also make a donation in any amount and WHS Art students will select and purchase the books to be donated. As a "thank-you," supporters will receive a free appetizer at the North Dartmouth Texas Roadhouse on Dec. 2.
Vouchers may be shared with friends and family anywhere in the country to support the WHS Art Club. For more information contact Amy Dion at 508-291-3510 or via e-mail at adion@wareham.k12.ma.us.
