Pain, frames, and automobiles at Fender Bender in Onset
Hot rods, low riders, and motorcycles surrounded the Onset Band Shell, which was turned into a wrestling ring, for the third annual Fender Bender on Saturday.
Hosted by Sinners & Saints Tattoo, the show serves as an annual birthday party for the East Wareham shop.
There were dozens of vehicles on display, from decades long ago to more recent ones.
A wrestling show featuring notables such as Maria Kanellis, wrestler and model, as well as Spike Dudley, "Prodigy" Mike Bennett (a Carver native), Danny Davis, The Wing Men, and John Cena Sr. did not disappoint the hundreds who packed Prospect Park for the event -- or the dozens of kids who cheered from right in front of the Band Shell stage/wrestling ring.
Sinners and Saints owner Roger Chouinard, who organized the show with Nicole Miceli of Salerno's, thanked the Wareham Police Department, including Lts. Kevin Walsh and John Walcek, for their roles in making the event a success.
Walsh, who is serving as acting chief while Chief Richard Stanley is on leave for medical reasons, also had kind words to say about the Fender Bender organizers and volunteers. He noted that the event went off without a hitch due to their preparation.
