The Paper Store will fundraise for cancer patients and families
Starting April 14, the Paper Store will sell stickers for $1, $3, or $5 donations and all of the proceeds will go toward the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF).
The JAF's mission is to provide emotional and financial support to cancer patients and their families. Its financial assistance program provides grants that help patient families with everyday expenses, including rent and mortgage payments, utility bills, and more.
The new partnership will also support Team JAF, the Foundation's 2016 Boston Marathon runners, by spreading awareness of the team that is running 26.2 miles to raise funds for the JAF and spreading its philosophy of the power of a positive attitude during difficult times.
The foundation was founded in 2008 by Joe Andruzzi, a former offensive guard with the New England Patriots who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Burkitt's lymphoma in 2007. He was disease-free less than a year later and decided to dedicate his life to supporting other cancer patients and funding life-saving research.
The specially-made stickers will be sold at the check-out counters of all 59 stores across the Northeast. The Paper Store is located in Wareham Crossing.
