Patricia Van Dam Sass, 62

Patricia A. (Mann) Van Dam Sass, 62, of Wareham, died June 30 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River unexpectedly. She was the wife of Joseph A. Sass.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Eliot T. and Frances (Perreault) Mann. A graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1974, she previously lived in Plymouth before moving to Wareham in 2003 where she was a long-time summer resident of Little Harbor. Mrs. Sass was a self-employed home health and personal care aide.

She was a member of the Wareham – New Bedford Lodge of Elks and Little Harbor Golf Club. She also rode with the Hell’s Angels and the Reapers Motorcycle Clubs.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph A. Sass; her children, Aisling Labauve and her husband Norm of Deland, Florida, Jon Van Dam of Wareham, Josh Van Dam of Spencer, Kenny Van Dam and his wife Cidalia of Wareham, Patrick Van Dam, and Calli Van Stoll and her husband Adam of Arlington, Virginia; her brothers, Michael Mann, Richard Mann and David Mann all of Wareham; her sister, Nancy Berry of Charlotte, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Joey Van Dam, Rachel Lebauve, Toni Van Dam, Vinny Van Dam, Scarlet Van Dam, Abby Van Dam, Harper Grace Stoll, and Jacob Van Dam.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 5, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, (Route 28), Wareham from 3 to 6 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m.
