Paul Cavanaugh, Jr., 56

Paul D. Cavanaugh, Jr., 56, of East Wareham died Dec. 5 at his home unexpectedly.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Shirley Ann McDonald and Paul D. Cavanaugh, Sr. A previous resident of Lynn, he moved to Wareham in 1971 and graduated from Wareham High School in 1980. Mr. Cavanaugh also lived in Sarasota, Florida where he was yard manager in the equipment rental industry.

Paul enjoyed getting together with his family over a cup of coffee. He also was fan of Patriots football, Red Sox baseball and country music.

He is survived by his brother, Robert “Scott” Cavanaugh and his wife Trina of Marion; his sisters, Nancy D. Davies of Sagamore Beach and Karen A. Babbs and her husband Cornell of Pittsfield and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Paul also leaves behind many friends in the Sarasota, Florida area where he lived for many years. He was predeceased by his sisters, the late Sandra L. Cavanaugh, and Virginia M. Drollett.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private.
