Paul J. Piscitelli, 78

Paul J. Piscitelli, 78, of Wareham, died October 25 at home. He was the husband for 55 years to the love of his life the late Marylou E. (O’Connor) Piscitelli and the son of the late Clement and Muriel (Owens) Piscitelli.

He was born in Roslindale and lived in Wareham since 1979.  He graduated from Roslindale High School. 

Paul owned and operated Onset Cranberry Bogs with his wife, Marylou, and family. Previously he worked as a union ironworker in Boston after serving his country in the United State Navy. 

He was a member of the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association, a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, and an active member of the Gleason Family YMCA.  He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved nature, the outdoors, animals, and going out for coffee with his friends. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he could be found in his shop creating and fabricating items for family and friends. 

Survivors include a daughter, Diana Piscitelli of East Wareham; a son, John Piscitelli of Warwick, RI; 2 grandchildren, Corynn Rinta and Matthew Rinta. He was father of the late Joseph Piscitelli and the brother of the late Louis Piscitelli.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. 

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.
