Performances net $500 for Damien's Food Pantry

Sep 29, 2014

Musician Chris Coile and friends raised and donated $500 to Damien's Food Pantry from proceeds collected over the course of a series of gigs at the Fan Club.

Coile, along with other local entertainers Debbie Bokelkamp and Mark Darling, played nine concerts, all of which were to benefit Damien's.

"We had a great time this summer playing at the Fan Club," said Coile. "We would like to thank Glenn Justice, the owner, for his help in promotion for our concert series."

Coile, a long-time local entertainer, plays and sings songs from the 50s to the 80s with a focus on classic rock and roll and country.

Coile said he has plans to continue the fundraising efforts in May, and he thanked Bokelkamp and Darling, who joined him in the fundraising effort, as well as those who attended and donated.

"They both have amazing voices and the fans loved them," he said. "And we'd  like to thanks the local Wareham residents who have come out and made donations and enjoyed the music.
