It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Philip J. Webb, 55, of Wareham, MA, on March 18, 2025.
Born in Marshfield, MA, Philip was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at four months old. Despite being given only fourteen years to live, Philip was a fighter. At 42, he moved to Los Angeles, CA, to enroll on a donor list as his condition progressed. He received a double lung transplant on September 24, 2014. After recovering, Philip returned to the East Coast and eventually back to Massachusetts, where he worked part-time and enjoyed remodeling his home.
On February 14, 2024, Philip was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), which progressed quickly and ultimately took his life.
Philip is survived by his three children: Kooper Webb of Wareham, Mya Webb (mother of Philip’s only grandson, Ace, 2) of Quinton, VA, and Boston Webb of Quinton, VA, and the mother of his children, Cheryl Hinks of Quinton, VA.
Philip is also survived by his parents, Robert K. Webb and Rita (Doyle) Walsh. Philip was the brother of Kevin R. Webb and Kelly Roggatz (husband Paul Roggatz), and stepsiblings Maureen Shippee, Melinda Hannah, Mark Walsh, and Michael Walsh (wife Julianne Walsh). He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 10 AM to 12 noon. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham will be private.
