Grandpa (Vincent Maraccini) and grandma (Kai'ana Perez) told the children not to open the oven until the cookies were done. After the Gingerbread Man escaped, nobody could find him. BY JAIME REBHAN
The farmers warned the Gingerbread Man to keep running. BY JAIME REBHAN

But the fox (Lain Potter) outsmarted the Gingerbread Man. BY JAIME REBHAN

Kindergarten classes at Minot Forest Elementary presented "The Tale of the Gingerbread Man" on Thursday.
The Gingerbread Man met farmers, chickens, frogs, and other helpful critters, who warned him to keep running. But, of course, he met his untimely demise with the pesky fox.
