Phyllis H. LeFavor, 90, homemaker, volunteer

Phyllis H. (Chartier) LeFavor, 90, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion after a long illness. She was the widow of the late William C. LeFavor.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Felix & Anna (Dyl) Chartier. She attended New Bedford schools. A homemaker, she lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Wareham in 1954.

A communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Circle, St. Patrick’s Altar Guild, Tobey Hospital Guild and was a volunteer at both the Forestview and Tremont Nursing Homes in Wareham. Mrs. LeFavor dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Donna Adams and her husband, Nelson, of Marion, Barbara LeFavor of Wareham, Philip LeFavor and his wife, Cindy, of Rochester, Deborah Hazlett and her husband, Robert, of W. Bridgewater and Paula Ewan and her husband, David, of Wareham; her sister, Barbara Hagley and her husband, Richard, of Kent, CT; her grandchildren, Timothy Adams and his wife, Elissa, Daniel LeFavor and his wife Julie, William and Samuel LeFavor, Hannah Hazlett, Julie, Katy Ewan and her partner Jason Cromwell, and David Ewan; her great-grandchildren, Kendall, Mia, Olivia, and Bree. She was predeceased by her brothers, Felix and Norman Chartier.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours have been omitted.
