Pickup, snowplow collide on Route 25 eastbound in Wareham

Three people were reportedly injured in a crash between a pickup truck and snowplow early Monday morning on Route 25 eastbound in Wareham.

Officials at the Wareham Fire Department said they were first notified of the crash around 3:50 a.m. by State Police. The accident reportedly occurred in the area of a Mass DOT highway barn.

The pickup, Chevrolet Silverado, reportedly sustained heavy damaged as a result of the collision. Officials said Wareham firefighters used the Jaws of Life to open the passenger side door of the vehicle.

According to reports, the occupants of the pickup, two men and one woman, were then taken to Tobey Hospital by Wareham EMS with nonlife-threatening injuries.
