Police arrest suspect minutes after armed robbery at Sullivan's

Police arrested 18-year-old Sean McGrath minutes after a 911 report of an armed robbery at Sullivan's Wine & Spirits Monday afternoon.

According to police, McGrath, of Camardo Dr., Wareham, was apprehended in the Cromesett neighborhood after police swarmed the area in response to reports of an armed robbery at Sullivan Wine & Spirits by a male wearing a mask and wielding a black handgun.

The suspect had run out of the back of the store and through the woods.  Further investigation led officers to recover the gun, a mask, and gloves that were used in the robbery, as well as an undisclosed amount of money.

McGrath was transported to the Wareham Police Station where he was booked on a charged of Armed Robbery while Masked.  He was held overnight at the station without bail and was arraigned on Tuesday morning at Wareham 4th District Court.

According to a store clerk, the robbery occurred around 12:30 p.m.  Nobody was injured, but they were shaken by the incident.
