Police investigate fatal Route 25 crash
A single-vehicle crash on Route 25 Eastbound on Wednesday, August 4, killed one passenger and left the driver and a second passenger with serious injuries.
The deceased was identified by police as 22-year-old Bryan Brown, of Columbia, South Carolina. The driver, whose identity remains unavailable as the investigation continues, was transported by ambulance to Tobey Hospital. A second passenger, 30-year-old Juan Bonilla-Rios, of Jamaica Plain, was transported by ambulance to Falmouth Hospital.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:53 p.m. in the vicinity of the Bourne-Plymouth border. Preliminary investigation by Trooper Jeffrey Diotte indicates that a white 1995 Ford Econoline Van was traveling eastbound when the vehicle lost control, rolled over and came to rest in the center median. Two of the three victims were ejected, one into the westbound lanes, the other into the eastbound lanes. The third victim was trapped in the vehicle and was freed by mechanical means.
The facts and circumstances of this crash remain under investigation.
