'Postcards from Onset' is a lesson plan
To The Editor:
The recent, excellent Wareham Cable Television documentary "Postcards from Onset" should be required viewing for every student in Wareham. The artistic quality, sound mixing, and flow between first-person historical narratives and beautiful postcards earn the project an exemplary grade for form. We can think of no more comprehensive, balanced presentation of content that would give students a knowledge of Onset Village through the years.
Jay Heard from Wareham Cable Television, his co-workers, and all the generous participants in the effort have produced a relevant, concise, local lesson plan that we need to heed. In our role as civic activists, we can think of no more powerful, positive, public relations effort that will contribute to the onset of a new day when once again folks everywhere will cherish a postcard from Onset, Massachusetts.
