The Tenth Annual Readers Become Leaders 5K Race is coming to Minot Forest Elementary School, rain or shine, on October 20, at 12 p.m.

The race will begin at Minot, and runners will go down Great Neck Road and Stillman Drive then back to Minot.

Along the way, runners will be entertained by "readers" who will be dressed in costumes.

The first place male and female runners will receive a $100 cash prize, and there will be prizes for the top walkers, as well as division prizes for kids to senior citizens.

There will be a raffle, refreshments and  long sleeved shirts for the first 100 entrants.

Registration is $15 in advance for adults, or a $10 donation for a t-shirt, and $10 for students. Registration after October 13, or on the day of the race will cost $20 for adult, and $15 for students.
