Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, a Wareham Police Officer saw a car that had struck a telephone pole in the area of Main Street and Stoney Run.

Wareham EMS transported an injured man to Tobey Hospital. An inventory search of the vehicle before it was towed revealed suspected Fentanyl, crack cocaine, cash, and illegal fireworks.

The driver, Logan Orcutt, 28, of West Wareham, is being summoned to court for trafficking more than 10 grams of Fentanyl, possession of a class “B” substance, and unlawful possession of fireworks.

Just before midnight on Friday, two officers responded to a disturbance at the Fan Club on Cranberry Highway. There, they arrested Patrick Shea, 43, of Marstons Mills, who is charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

At around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers arrested an Onset man, who allegedly tried to steal a car. Officers arrived to Bay Pointe Drive Extension to find a man under a car while the car’s alarm blared. The man fled the scene, leaving the hood of the car up with many parts disconnected.

Officers found and arrested Alexander Yankopoulos, 47. He is charged with breaking and entering in a vehicle during the daytime with intent to commit a felony, and vandalizing property. In addition, Yankopoulos had two warrants for his arrest.

Police report that other arrests were made over the weekend, but the nature of those offenses hasn’t been disclosed to the public due to state laws.
