Rep. Gifford wins Sportsmen's award
State Representative Susan Williams Gifford (R-Wareham) received the "Sportsmen's Representative Award" from the Massachusetts Sportsmen's Council (MSC) on Saturday, April 10 at the organization's annual banquet and awards night.
"I am so honored to receive this award," Rep. Gifford told the capacity crowd. "I come from a family with a true appreciation of the outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, camping or hiking. If my Dad were alive today, he'd be so proud."
President Moss said that, as the ranking Republican member of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture, Gifford serves as the "first line of defense" against legislation that takes aim at the rights of sportsmen and women in the Commonwealth while also protecting the Commonwealth's most valued recreation conservation areas.
Rep. Gifford was nominated to receive the award by John Fabrosky, President of the Plymouth County League of Sportsmen.
