Resident arrested for drug possession after search of Main Street apartment
Wareham Police arrested and charged a resident with possession of crack cocaine and opiates following a search of a 412 Main Street apartment on April 15.
Intelligence received by Wareham detectives indicated that 38-year-old Rachel Alexander of 412 Main Street, apartment 1, has been involved in a cocaine dealing organization in the greater Wareham area for several months.
Wareham Police, assisted by Bourne Police and a K-9 from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant on the apartment and located Alexander hiding in a closet.
During a search of the apartment, police located a small amount of a hard white yellowish substance believed to be crack cocaine and an unmarked pill bottle containing pills believed to be Hydrocodone, police said.
Also located were “corner cut” glassine baggies and a digital scale, both of which are common items used in the drug dealing trade, according to police.
According to police, Alexander’s apartment building has been the site of numerous drug related arrests and disturbances over the past several years.
