Richard Allen Faust
Provincetown lost some of its sunshine with the passing of Richard Allen Faust on August 27, 2025. Richard was born on September 10, 1948, in Wareham, Massachusetts. He attended Tabor Academy in Marion, then went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. He earned a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Richard went on to serve the Town of Provincetown as Assistant Assessor for 19½ years. Anything he could do to help the people in Provincetown brought him joy. P-town was like his extended family and most definitely his true home.
Richard lived a full and generous life. He never met a stranger, always quick to share a story, a laugh, or even give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was an avid reader, a man of deep faith, and a devoted family man. Some of his happiest moments were spent on the phone with his grandson, laughing until their bellies ached.
In his later years, Richard resided at Seashore Point Nursing Home, where he was lovingly cared for by his wife of 17½ years, Charm, and the many kind nurses and caregivers who became like family.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice (Pierce) and George William Faust, and his sister, Donna Faust.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charm; his daughter, Samantha Adele Faust Krischke; his grandson, Joshua Krischke & Joshua’s wife, Brianna (Harper); and his great-grandchildren, Aurora, Jack, and a little one on the way. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Greene, brother Steven Faust, nephew Brian, niece and Goddaughter Amy, and many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to share memories of how Richard touched your life. Cards/stories may be sent to: Memories of Richard, 216 East Hall St., Apt. 114, Sandwich, IL 60548; or emailed to sebmooabu70@gmail.com.
