Robert E. “Bob” Chepren, 72, died Oct. 29 at Kindred Transitional Care at Forestview in Wareham after a long illness.

Born in Wareham, the son of the late Reno and Isabelle (McAvoy) Chepren, Bob graduated from Wareham High School and was a lifelong resident. He was a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by his siblings, Ronald Chepren of Hobe Sound, Florida, Phillis Reuille of Skowhegan, Maine, Marilyn Stetkis of Canaan, Maine; Virginia Eldridge of Bradenton, Florida, Jack Chepren of Middleboro, Judy Wills of New Portland, Maine, George Boyd of Florida, Jeanne Chepren of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and his close cousin, Janice Reed of Wareham and Bradenton, Florida. He was predeceased by his brother, the late Warren Boyd.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in Center Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service.
