Robert J. Lockhart Jr., 60, of Wareham, formerly of Dover, passed away Dec. 21. Born May 19, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert J. “Sammy” Lockhart, Sr. and Patricia A. (Turney) Lockhart of Wareham.

He was a graduate of Dover-Sherborn Regional High School class of 1977 where he learned and excelled in fine woodworking. He spent many years designing and crafting beautiful furniture and decorative wood items. Rob received the Order of the Eagle of the Boy Scouts of America and was a past volunteer firefighter and EMT on the Dover Fire Department.

He formerly worked as a caretaker of Highland Cemetery in Dover and also served many years on the Cemetery Commission. He enjoyed playing the drums and had diverse music tastes. Rob also had great talent in fixing things large and small.

Along with his mother, Rob also leaves behind his sister Donna J. Elbery of Millis and his nephew Robert T. Elbery of Millis.

Per request of Rob no services will be held. Interment at Highland Cemetery Dover will be held at a later date.
