Robert A. Maxim of Onset, passed away unexpectedly at Tobey Hospital on Oct. 9. He was the son of the late Frances (Moran) and Bartlette Maxim.

Born and raised in Onset, Bobby attended Wareham schools and graduated in 1979. In the past, Bobby was a member of the Onset Fire Department for many years, an elected official of the Onset Fire District Prudential Committee, a member of the Wareham Lodge of Elks and a self-employed painter for more than 30 years. Bobby enjoyed being with his family, the New England Patriots and especially enjoyed card games. He was a kind-hearted soul who had helped many.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters James Moran, Steven Maxim of Onset, Richard Maxim of North Falmouth, Michael Maxim of Clinton,Rodney Maxim of Hyannis, and Cheryl Musiol, Thomas Maxim, Christine Maxim, Elroy Maxim, Susan Stolba of Wareham; his favorite uncle Willy Maxim of Wareham, and also many nieces, nephews and cousins. His dearest friends were Norm Holmes, and the late Jim Foxx.
