Robert W. Hunt Sr., 76, of Middleborough passed away at home with his family at his side on Sunday, February 22,. He was the husband of Sally L. (Sukeforth) Hunt of Middleborough. Mr. Hunt was born in Brockton the son of the late Richard F. and Julia (Braga) Hunt.
He attended Foxboro Public Schools and graduated from Wareham High School. Mr. Hunt was a veteran of the Army National Guard serving in the early 1960s. Mr. Hunt worked for Dick's Marine in Wareham. He was a teacher/auto body instructor at Upper Cape Tech and stone cutter for Atwood Monuments. He enjoyed working, boating, camping and motorcycles.
He is survived by his children Lisa M. Bacchiocchi and her companion Nick Ieronimo of Buzzards Bay; Robert W. Hunt Jr. and his wife Leanne of Wareham; and Barbara J. Brown and her husband Tim of Falmouth.
He was the brother of Richard Hunt of Alaska. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Taylor, Cam, Jordan, Brittany, Tim Jr., Hayden, Harrison, and Naveya; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends. He was the brother of the late Donald Hunt. Robert and his family are especially grateful for the care and support of Cranberry Hospice and close friend and Beach St. neighbor Tony Coletti.
Mr. Hunt will have a graveside service in Hillside Cemetery, High Street, Rochester on Tuesday, March 17 at 11:30.
