WAREHAM – Rose I. Nunes, 97, of Wareham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Born in Mashpee, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Vincenzia (Texeira) Nunes.

Rose was a longtime resident of Wareham and a beloved resident of the Redwood Park community, where she was known for her beautiful gardens and green thumb. A dedicated and prolific gardener, she took great pride in tending to the shared spaces, bringing beauty and joy to her neighbors.

A devoted Elvis Presley fan, one of the highlights of Rose’s life was her unforgettable trip to Graceland.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sandra Mendes, Gail Gomes, Jack Barboza, Pearl Barrows, and Sheila Barboza. She was predeceased by her siblings: Louis Nunes, Joseph Nunes, Edward Nunes, Emma Matthews, Olive Barboza, Mary Adams, and Mary Sintoni.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham.
