Rosebrook Wine and Spirits opens its doors

Jun 20, 2015

The shelves have been stocked and the glasses are half full at Rosebrook Wine and Spirits, the newest wine shop to open in town.

While they opened 10 days ago, Rosebrook Wine and Spirits celebrated their grand opening Friday evening at 20 Rosebrook Place.

The shop is owned by lifelong Wareham residents Chris Smith and his mother, Deb Miglino.

"This side of town is growing, it made sense," Smith said.

Smith has owned two other wine and liquor stores, one in Boston and one in Plymouth. Their new location in Wareham is next to Five Guys Burgers and Fries in the A.D. Makepeace Rosebrook development on Route 28.

"This development is great for the town," Smith said.

Local restaurants such as Mumma Mary's and Vels Cafe provided food for the grand opening Friday and Lindsey's and Eastwind Seafoods will do the same Saturday.

The grand opening continues today from noon to 6 p.m. where there will be tastings, raffles and other giveaways at the store.
