Sandra A. Ward, 65, of West Wareham passed away July 30 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham after a long illness. She was the cherished wife since 2007 of Thomas R. Kennett of West Wareham.

Sandra was born Oct. 6, 1950 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late James and Marie Annette Ward. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1968 and from New Hampshire Technical College, Concord, New Hampshire in 1970 with an associate’s degree in data processing. She was employed by the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Plymouth for 17 years and left in 1988 to travel with her lifelong companion as he worked computer programming contracts across the country. They wed in 2007 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They enjoyed traveling and camping. She enjoyed collecting collectible glass and Hallmark ornaments. She was also an avid Sudoku player.
She is also survived by her step-daughter Christy Skopal and her husband Tom, her two grandsons Liam and Marc Skopal all of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was the sister-in-law Helen Wescott of Campton, New Hampshire.

Her funeral service will be held on Aug. 3, at 10 a.m., in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St. Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. A graveside service will be held on Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery 59 Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth, NH 03264.
