See the cranberry harvest up close

Sep 27, 2012

If you're interested in learning more about the little red berry that is big business here on the south coast, A.D. Makepeace is offering tours led by experienced cranberry growers.

Learn how the cranberry got it's name, what makes it bounce, and take some pictures of the fall foliage.

The hour and a half long tours will be held September 29 and October 13, 17, 20, and 27. The tours will all begin at 10 a.m. at Makepeace Farms at 146 Tihonet Road.

The tours are $12 for adults, and free for children under seven. Participants must register and pay in advance.

Register in person at Makepeace Farms, or online at www.tihonet.com.
