Select Board commends Boy Scout for Eagle Scout award

Apr 5, 2022

The Select Board congratulated Boy Scout Jared Forrest during its Tuesday night meeting, as the scout has recently completed requirements to earn his Eagle Scout award.

Forrest attended the meeting virtually, along with his father Brendon and Troop 39 representative Kim Carman.

His Eagle Scout project involved working with Turning Point to gather donations to supply people experiencing homelessness with toiletries, tents and sleeping bags.

Carman said Forrest will be granted his Eagle Scout award on April 23 in a ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church.

Select Board Chair Judith Whiteside congratulated the scout for his project, and she read a certificate of congratulations on behalf of the board to Forrest, who will receive the certificate on April 23.

“We appreciate your work,” Whiteside said.
