The Select Board revived the Bicycling Committee on Feb. 18, unanimously reinstating the advisory board after its dissolution in 2019.

The Bicycling Committee, previously known as the Bike Path Committee, advises the Select Board on “providing a safe, clean and enjoyable place for people to walk, jog or ride a bicycle year round.”

Select Board Member Sherry Quirk spearheaded the committee's return.

The board will be composed of five members, each of which will serve a three year term.

Those interested in serving as a member of the Bicycling committee can apply through the town’s website. Applicants must be 18-years-old and a full time Wareham resident.
